2013 was a landmark year for supercar production because it was when the Porsche 918 Spyder, Ferrari LaFerrari, and most notably, the McLaren P1 came out.

Twelve years later, a YouTuber is rewriting the story by partnering with Frank Stephenson to create a one-off hypercar, expanding on the glory of the original P1.

While Stephenson and the YouTuber have got the design down, they plan on doing a lot of work under the hood to create the fastest ever McLaren.

When you think of 2013, you can’t help but marvel at how impressive the supercar offerings were, like the Porsche 918 Spyder, the Ferrari LaFerrari, and the McLaren P1.

This YouTuber has decided that he was going to elevate the P1 even farther and create the “fastest McLaren in the world”.

The YouTuber, Tavarish, described the original as “Form and function rolled into three distinct concepts,” and was excited to be partnering with the supercars‘ original designer, Frank Stephenson, to create the P1 Evo.

Although it holds the P1 name, Tavarish’s hybrid hypercar will be a unique beast all on its own; it will look massively different from its namesake and will even be changed under the hood.

Designing the fastest ever McLaren

Tavarish and Frank want this to be the fastest McLaren ever created.

He’s fitting an M840T that he probably got from a wrecked 720S and much bigger wheels.

The Turbochargers will stay relatively similar, and Tavarish is hoping that his changes will help get the P1 Evo up to 1,400 horsepower, faster than its namesake and predecessor, and maybe even faster than the McLaren Speedtail.

We can’t expect to see this new hypercar until SEMA 2026, which is the perfect place to unveil a hypercar of this kind of magnitude – we can’t wait.
