With half a million miles clocked on its odometer, it was also his highest-mileage car purchase.
Despite all those years of harsh usage, it was still in pretty decent shape.
To put the cherry on the top, this Crown Vic was all-original and hadn’t been tampered with.

The host from the YouTube channel Cars of Queens posted a video explaining why he wanted the old Ford.
Before you ask why anyone would spend money on a high-mileage taxi, especially one that’s over a decade old, know that these cars have a solid fanbase.
This YouTuber, too, is an enthusiast who collects old gems like this Crown Vic, and it wasn’t his first one either.
It was, however, his highest-mileage Crown Victoria, by far.
Clocking several hundred thousand miles on a taxi is completely normal, and half a million miles wouldn’t even make it onto the list of the world’s highest-mileage cars.
This Greek taxi driver drove the same car for almost three million miles.
Meanwhile, this Mercedes-Benz 240D, in service since 1988, has 4.35 million miles on the clock.

Whether you’ve been to New York City or not, you would almost certainly know about these iconic yellow sedan cabs that run around the city.
The Crown Vic is quite the celebrity car, even if it’s just a plain-looking sedan.
It was also extensively used by several police departments, so you know Ford made good money with these.
As for this 2011 Crown Victoria, its owner sold it off for a couple of thousand dollars and said it made him millions over the years.
Although it had been repainted, it was reportedly all-original.
Unlike this 426-mile Crown Vic unearthed in an odd Texas location, the wear and tear was noticeable.
Despite all those years of rough usage, it still held up well.
While the YouTuber ended up selling the NYC taxi a few months later to make room for future purchases, it wasn’t because the car had any flaws.
Well, apart from the fact that it has 575,000 stop light to stop light — and not highway — miles clocked.
Almost all Crown Vics are now out of commission, and you’ll mostly find Toyotas in New York City now.
