It’s not every day you get to see people buying out entire collections, and even when they do, there’s no guarantee about vehicles’ condition.

However, the vintage bikes in this barn came in as good of a condition as you can possibly want.

Calling it a gold mine wouldn’t be an understatement.

Man bought Virginia barn with iconic vintage bikes

Ken from the YouTube channel KAPLAN AMERICA bought out a barn in Virginia full of vintage bikes, which was shown in a video.

It was a handcrafted collection, so it was fairly small compared to this Alabama salvage yard with over 4,000 motorcycles.

It had everything from iconic Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki motorcycles that were popular in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Most of these were street bikes and trail bikes — which were the equivalent of classic sports cars that are cherished today.

If you owned one of these as a teenager, it was ‘super cool’ — and all for good reason.

Trail bikes like these were known for having great handling, raw aesthetics, and some of the most formidable engines ever built.

A handful of these engines — especially on the Suzuki and Yamaha models — were so rare that fans called them indestructible.

Moreover, the fact that all of these motorcycles in this barn are still kicking — pun intended — proves that fact.

So, what did Ken find?

It was a haul of 33 motorcycles parked snugly inside an old garage.

Unlike this lot of abandoned motorcycles, most of them were in pretty good shape.

The Virginia barn included everything from a 1974 Suzuki TM 250 and a 1982 Yamaha IT465 to fan favorites like the 1983 Yamaha YZ125 and 125X.

If you know your bikes, you know collectors wouldn’t mind emptying their wallets for one of these in pristine condition.

However, the star of this show was undoubtedly a 1976 Yamaha MX175, which was in decent shape and could be an excellent project bike like this Honda CD-70.

The MX175 was famous for being super fast and maneuverable, making it an ideal racer.

That also made it extremely rare, which is why it’s a gem.
