This woman who switched from a Mercedes to a Mazda has said the decision was a ‘no brainer.’

When buying a new car, you always want to make sure you’re taking everything into consideration.

Landing yourself with a vehicle that doesn’t tick all your boxes can be a costly mistake to make.

However, this woman has proudly stated she has no regrets about making the switch.

Why did this woman swap in her Mercedes?

Page Menry explained her reasoning for the change on TikTok, where it has since picked up a lot of views.

For Menry, her 2021 Mercedes GLB 250 was proving too costly to keep maintained and it was losing value as time went by.

Menry said that her maintenance services were free, and she’d bring the car in around four times each year for a free check-up.

She racked up 55,000 miles over a two year period.

However, the terms of her maintenance package stated that tech work would only be covered for 30,000 miles.

This meant she was on the hook financially.

From this point onwards, she’d be paying between $400 and $800 for services.

At one point, she was even being charged up to $2,000 for a set of tires.

On top of the spiraling costs, the car was starting to show signs of wear and tear.

A cracked windshield and damage to the rim and tires set her back financially, as reported by The Daily Dot.

She told her viewers: “The more miles you put on…luxury vehicles like Mercedes, Audi, BMW. Whatever it may be, you’re losing value the closer you get to 100,000 miles or even 80,000 miles.”

To be fair, it’s not that bad a problem to have – you still own a luxury car, after all.

Ultimately, it came down to her fear of hitting a higher mileage.

After this point, the car would significantly drop in value – meaning she’d have to stick with it for very little reward.

It would be the opposite of this super expensive Rolls-Royce license plate which only increased in value.

What she likes about the Mazda

When it came time to take some cars out for a test drive, she was surprised at the new 2025 Mazda CX-5.

She explained: “I started looking into Mazda.

“One of my cousins actually had [a] Mazda so I talked to her about it.

“She loves them, swears by them. So I went and looked and actually ended up falling in love with the car I have now.”

Once she got her Mazda, the benefits started rolling in.

She was only paying $100 for an oil change, as opposed to $400-$800 with her former car.

On top of being efficient, the car didn’t make her feel as if she was ‘trading down’.

She said: “It’s the first car that I felt that same luxury feeling that I had with my Mercedes. No regrets.”

Not everyone can say they have no regrets about a car purchase – this eBay user was suffering a severe case of buyers’ remorse after picking up a Pontiac GTO.
