He might be Hollywood royalty and arguably Batman himself, but award-winning actor, Christian Bale, drives a second-hand car.

The 2003 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck is over 20 years old.

This is despite once being the highest-paid actor in the world.

Plus, his estimated net worth is approximately $120 million.

Christian Bale, is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Batman in the Dark Knight trilogy.

However, this is a far cry from the Batmobile or Pininfarina’s Batman supercar.

Despite being a multimillionaire and once the highest-paid actor in the world, Bale lives a seemingly most lifestyle.

While he surprisingly prefers using public transport, when he does get where he needs to be under his own steam, he drives a 20-year-old second-hand vehicle around Los Angeles.

2003 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck is not what you’d expect from Hollywood A-listers, like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s $10 million fleet.

Preferring function over form, he’s stuck with the same vehicle since he first bought it just over 20 years ago.

It’s claimed that Bale has helped friends move house in the past and he’s often seen refueling at petrol stations.

While he does own an all-black Porsche Cayenne, the pickup seems to be his daily runaround.

Photos of the actor with the pickup truck indicate it is a post-facelift first-generation model produced between 2001 and 2003.

The pickup truck is a PreRunner that features a 3.4-liter V6 engine with a rear-wheel-drive, not a 4×4.

However, Bale is not the only celebrity who owns a regular old car.

WWE wrestling legend and actor John Cena has a Honda Civic as his daily driver.

Despite being a billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg owns an Acura TSX, a Honda Fit, and a Volkswagen Golf GTI.
