This YouTuber decided to troll fake supercar owners in California by showing up with a $600,000 Ferrari 599 GTO.

It didn’t take too long to find the first ‘victim’ – or culprit, depending on the way you want to look at it.

Just a few miles after setting off, he found a fake Lamborghini Diablo.

It looked good, but not as good as the Ferrari.

Gordon Cheng, YouTuber and car spotter who goes by effspot on social media, went on a ‘mission’ in California with a Ferrari 599 GTO.

This Ferrari can be worth up to $600,000, unlike the fake supercars he wanted to troll and embarrass.

Within minutes, he found a fake Lamborghini Diablo, which looked as good as a fake can reasonably look but, well, it was still fake, and this became evident when he parked the real Ferrari next to it.

As per usual, it’s difficult to tell how much of the video was staged, probably most of it to be frank, but it’s still good fun.

Especially when you listen to the amazing sound of the V12 in the Ferrari.

The problem with fake supercars

Fake supercars are becoming increasingly popular, probably because some of these kit cars look nearly as good as the original.

However, there are a lot of things to bear in mind when you own one.

For starters, the build quality is generally appalling, which becomes an even bigger problem when safety is involved.

Then there’s the question of legitimacy.

Using a fake supercar is not always automatically illegal, but it’s certainly frowned upon, to put it mildly.

It’s never a good look, especially if the owner buys it and drives it unironically, or unless you’re John Cena and turn this into a great anecdote years later.
