Polish tuner Carlex Design did this to a Mercedes G-Wagen.

The Carlex G-Wagen now comes with a two-tone orange and silver paint, and matching interior.

They did a good job, and the car looks amazing, as well as being very shiny.

But there’s something they said about their latest creation that’s a bit strange.

Possibly one of the most striking G-Wagen mods we’ve seen

Despite the massive price tag, the G-Wagen is one of those vehicles that sell like hotcakes.

The average G-Wagen buyer is obviously wealthy, but also the sort of person that likes customization on a car.

Supercar Blondie’s Alex Hirschi, for example, has a Brabus with Tiffany Blue interior.

Carlex went the extra mile and made it very ‘extra’.

Carlex’s G-Wagen is 10 centimeters taller and 8 centimeters wider than the standard model, and it is painted half silver and half in a color that looks like between burnished orange mixed with bronze.

Some elements, the front bumper for example, are actually made out of carbon fiber and then painted over.

The vintage-looking 20-inch wheels follow the same color theme, and it applies to the interior, too.

Carlex also decided to cover the entire trunk with yacht-style wood.

Carlex’s opinion on this vehicle is strange

Carlex designers love playing with colors.

The company has worked on the G-Wagen on several occasions, but it also customizeed Rolls-Royces and Mercedes-Maybach models in the past.

Their vehicles always look interesting, but they also always look more conspicuous than they did when they left factory.

They’re not subtle.

What’s strange is Carlex said this body kit is exactly designed to, in their words, “embody subtlety and classic style”.

We wouldn’t call it subtle, but to each their own.
