A remarkably enhanced and redesigned Chevrolet C8 Corvette has appeared, thanks to the design team at Mxtrem Automobil.

The company has taken the covers off the ‘Maverick,’ a C8 Corvette that now looks more like a jet fighter than a sports car.

The company appears to have taken the C8’s already aggressive bodywork to a level none of us could have predicted.

It’s likely this will divide opinion, but it’s certainly an interesting way of changing a Corvette’s appearance.

The dramatic changes are visible across the whole car.

The front fascia is of particular note, with it extra pointy and sharp with some radical ducts below the headlights.

Mxtrem has even placed what looks like mock missiles just in front of the front wheels.

Thankfully, these won’t be be functional and are just for show.

As the design shows, however, it’s not just the front that has had significant changes.

At the back of the Corvette, the rear fenders now resemble the wings of an aircraft.

The company has even added vertical stabilizers similar to those of an F-18 Hornet, and there is even a pair of exhausts that resemble those of the American fighter.

Mxtrem has even created digital renderings of the car, placed next to an F-18 to showcase their inspiration.

Not content with just modifying the exterior, Mxtrem has even worked on the car’s interior.

The C8’s cockpit already resembled that of a fighter jet, but the design studio went much further than Chevrolet.

Gone is the traditional steering wheel, and it has come to a yoke-style and a flight stick on the center console.

The driver’s seat also has an ejection seat-style handle grip, once again taking inspiration from military aviation.

Mxtrem has said that customers can work with them to fit their Corvette precisely as they desire.

This potentially means you could tone down the car’s interior slightly.

Currently, there are no technical specifications for their reworked Corvette.

However, you can customize the standard C8 Stingray, the Z06, or even the hybrid C8 E-Ray.

So, if you really want, you could have a hybrid jet fighter!
