Dodge is a car brand known all over the world.

From the Viper to the Daytona, the vehicles cover all the auto bases.

For example, Dodge even had a forgotten pickup truck that tried desperately to be a muscle car.

Plus, the company has also managed to captivate the automotive world for years with its concept cars that never progressed past the detailed design phase.

But one car that’s managed to stand the test of time is the Dodge Durango.

In fact, it’s just declared its immortality.

The model is continuing for 2026, which is great news for auto fans who thought that final curtain was perhaps closing on the popular auto.

Stellantis announced the 2026 model and has left fans in awe at what’s to come.

Car fans can expect a whole host of impressive features for the new lineup.

“The 2026 […]lineup will feature the Durango GT, the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine-powered Durango R/T with best-in-class 360HP and 390LB-FT of torque,” stated Stellantis in a release.

It’ll also see the ‘most powerful gas engine SUV ever, the 710HP Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat’ join the range.

With over 60 safety and security features, it really has all aspects covered.

The lineup will introduce a new 2026 R/T Blacktop and bring back the ‘R/T Tow N’Go package, with new and improved wheels.

Stellantis

“The Dodge Durango is the three-row muscle SUV and is equipped with Dodge muscle car attitude, best-in-class towing at every trim and an ability to seat up to seven,” explained Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO.

“The HEMI-powered Durango offers the only V-8 in its class and the most horsepower under $50,000. It’s a powerful combination and customers value its unique proposition of power and performance,” he continued.

Inside, the R/T will have red stitching on SRT performance seats, too, so it really is special.

The GT version will be ‘powered by the award-winning 3.6-liter V-6 engine that delivers 295HP.

Stellantis

The company concluded that the retail price of the GT will be $38,495 and the R/T will start at $49,995 – plus an added $1,995 thanks to tax and fees to take into account, too.

For those interested, ordering is said to open this month for the Durango GT and R/T models, and the all-important details regarding the Durango SRT will be unveiled further into 2025.

So, it’s good news all round.
