Ford is back with yet another limited edition for its most glorified SUV, and this time, it’s called the Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition — which comes with an iconic throwback livery.

The Stroppe is a tribute to an older legend, and it shows.

As shiny and wonderful as it may be, this special edition isn’t just about being pretty.

Instead, you also get enough performance upgrades to back up the makeover.

All-new Ford Bronco Stroppe pays homage to a legend

The 2025 Bronco has gotten more than ‘normal’ limited edition variants, and the automaker didn’t want to push the brakes anytime soon.

That’s precisely why the Ford Bronco Stroppe exists, but it’s more than a sales tactic, to say the least.

So, what makes it special?

If you haven’t noticed yet, this SUV features a tri-tone livery that might seem oddly similar to a Bronco from the past.

Ford

It has the same colors as the legendary 1971 Baja 1000 winner Ford Bronco that Bill Stroppe designed in the 1960s and the 1970s.

The only difference here is that the original colors — Calypso Coral, Wimbledon White, and Astra Blue have been replaced with — let’s just say ‘modern’ variants.

Ford now calls these Code Orange, Oxford White, and Atlas Blue.

Similar to the 1971 Baja 1000 winner, the special edition also gets the matte black hood and tailgate.

Ford

What’s more, the ‘Code Orange’ color variant isn’t a new invention — it was only reserved for the high-performance Raptors.

All in all, this new decal undoubtedly looks amazing, and we’re here for it.

The devil, however, lies in the details — details under the hood, to be precise.

Not just a pretty face

Ford

As we previously stated, this fancy makeover has enough performance under the hood.

Since the Ford Bronco Stroppe will inevitably take the two-door Wildtrak variant’s place, the automaker just straight-up installed the Sasquatch package.

We also saw the Sasquatch package in the fairly recent Ford Bronco Sasquatch Searcher, which was a Halloween-Bigfoot-themed one-off Bronco.

Anyway, the name translates to high-clearance HOSS suspension with Fox internal-bypass dampers, 17-inch wheels, and 35-inch tires.

Ford

The power comes from a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that sends out 315 horsepower and 410lb-ft of torque.

If you care, it also includes the ‘GOAT’ mode, which stands for ‘Go Over Any Terrain.’

It, of course, lets the new SUV… well, conquer all terrains.

After all, it’s an heir to the award-winning car from Bill Stroppe.

When (and how) can you get it?

Ford

If you genuinely want the best off-road experience, you might want to look at the Raptor instead.

Although the automaker hasn’t revealed anything about how much cash interested customers will need to shell out, know that it will be more than you expect.

The Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition will be up for grabs starting in January 2025, but we do not have an exact date yet.

You can always bring out the adventurer in you to find a Stroppe-designed Bronco from the 1970s in a barn find just like this one, but how much money are you really saving?
