This rare Indiana camper’s roof transforms into a boat and it comes with a classic Ford ranch wagon

This very rare Kom-Pak camper, located in Indiana, has a roof that transforms itself into a boat, and it even comes with a classic Ford ranch wagon too!

This amazing combination has emerged on a Facebook Marketplace listing, and it might be the coolest thing the marketplace has ever seen.

The camper itself is the Kom-Pak Sportsman, right from the 1950s, and with a sleek, streamlined design, giving it a very modern look.

If that wasn’t enough to tempt you, then this sweet deal also includes a matching 1952 Ford Ranch Wagon with which you can tow your mobile home.

The pair is up for grabs in Aurora, Indiana.

This is one of the coolest automotive listings on Facebook Marketplace.

The Kom-Pak Sportsman camper is a rare breed, and they very rarely come up for auction.

Only a handful of these survive, which makes this particular example very special.

Facebook Marketplace

Reports suggested that only 13 were known of, and of those, only six are believed to survive in 2025.

Little information is also available on the campers outright.

The campers were assembled in Medford, Oregon, and in the 1950s, the company charged $1,595 for each one.

Thanks to the fiberglass construction, the camper is very light, and it even has a boat for a roof.

Yes, you did read that right.

One of the key features was the roof, which is a 12-foot fiberglass boat.

Remove the boat, and you could either have a canvas cloth roof or be in the open air if the weather was nice.

Making this listing even cooler is not only the pristine condition of the camper, but its added Ford wagon.

This is a 1952 Ranch Wagon, which in itself has undergone a very thorough restoration.

The Ford uses many of its original parts, such as the engine and most of the interior.

In fact, the only interior components that aren’t original are the headliner and carpet.

Power for the Ranch Wagon comes from a 329ci Ford flathead V8 that produces 110hp.

Both of these, like this Ford muscle car, are incredibly rare finds.

If you want to get your hands on them, then the owner is currently listing them for $61,500.
