Check out this super cool 1958 Pontiac, that’s so rare even the most ardent of Pontiac fans may not have heard of it.
While Pontiac made some iconic American cars, such as the GTO and the Firebird, the carmaker also produced vehicles that were aimed at non-US markets.
One such vehicle was the Pathfinder, which was geared towards the Canadian market and was never sold in the US.
Produced in Canada, the Pathfinder had much smaller production numbers than other Pontiacs, meaning you won’t find too many of them knocking around today.

The 1958 Pontiac Pathfinder is a rare vehicle
There are some pretty rare Pontiacs out there, such as this 1970 American Pontiac Trans Am, of which only 3,196 units were produced; or this 1963 Catalina, which is one of only eight in existence.
And over on eBay, a seller in Michigan has recently listed an ‘extremely rare 1958 Pontiac Pathfinder’.
Pontiac kept production numbers of the Pathfinder pretty low, and the seller claims that this particular Pathfinder is one of just 449 made that year.
The Pathfinder left the factory with a six-cylinder engine paired with an automatic transmission, but the seller says that has since been replaced with a 350 Chevrolet; he also shares that it has no power steering or brakes.
It’s been parked for more than a decade
The listing revealed the car has been parked since 2012 until very recently, so the engine will need some attention. Although the seller does state that it still turns over and runs.
Despite its years off the road, the Pathfinder’s body looks to be in pretty good shape and is ‘extremely solid’, according to the seller.
It has previously undergone a restoration, but that seems to have been a long time ago as it’s showing some signs of aging, such as bubbles in the paintwork, the odd crack in the paint, and some blemishes on the clear coat on the roof.
Due to the fact it’s been off the road so long, the seller recommends that a successful buyer has the Pathfinder transported or trailered to its new home.
Here’s hoping it ends up with someone who can fully restore it to its former glory.
