Matt Boyette, a technician and YouTuber, shared a video about how he repaired the dent on a customer’s car.

This man had gone to local body shops and been told it would cost $41,000 to set right.

With that price in his head, he opted to drive six hours and 500 miles to seek a second opinion.

Did this customer drive 500 miles for nothing or did his car get fixed?

The customer wanted his car to undergo paintless dent removal and felt that Matt was the man for the job.

After viewing some pictures of the damage, Matt agreed to take on the challenge and asked for the Rivian to be driven down.

The dent itself is on the back corner of the truck and is adjoined to the rear headlight and the tailgate.

Its a rather significant dent, though admittedly it’s still not as damaged as this wrecked Ford Raptor.

Matt said: “Body line is gone, look at this mess. Just a large rippled mess.”

He then goes on to show the process behind repairing the dent, which involves some tethers and a hammer.

We won’t pretend to know the ins and outs of repairing a dent, but watching Matt do it sure is impressive.

By no means is it an easy job, but Matt makes it there in the end.

How the internet reacted to paintless dent removal

It wasn’t just the customer himself who was pleased with the final outcome.

Matt’s own viewers were very impressed with the job he did, and took to the YouTube comments to share their reactions.

One fan wrote: “26 years in the collision industry and I am blown away by how well you go that damage out!”

“That’s not a repair, that’s a work of art,” remarked another viewer.

A fellow admirer commented: “If I didn’t see it, there’s no way I would have believed it. Incredible work, you guys are real artists.”

Art and cars often go together quite nicely, like this limo that was converted into a gelato bar by a father-son team.
