Embraer revealed a new plane concept designed to fly itself powered by AI.
The futuristic jet doesn’t have a conventional cockpit, and even the cabin is totally reimagined.
The idea is to let the plane fly itself completely, including for landing.
We should point out – and this isn’t a minor detail – that Embraer has no plans to actually build the jet just yet.

A glimpse into the future of aviation
Embraer designed the new plane concept to showcase it the National Business Aviation Association event.
It envisions what flying private might look like in 10, 20 or 50 years.
The autonomous jet wouldn’t have a cockpit, because it wouldn’t need one.
It wouldn’t need pilots, either.
The jet would simply fly itself, and passengers would just relax with lounge-style seating and touch-sensitive windows.
Here’s the good/bad news
This probably looks like both bad news and good news, depending on who you ask.
Some people might see this as a dystopian solution, while others might simply call it ‘innovation’.
Either way, the good – or bad – news is we don’t have to cross this particular bridge just yet.
Embraer isn’t even planning to go past the conceptual phase for now.
They haven’t even built a prototype, and they probably won’t in the near future.
