Oracle Red Bull Racing team has unveiled a new simulator designed to mimic the experience of the RB19 F1 car.
It’s a state-of-the-art simulator, inspired by the most dominant car in Formula 1 history.
But it costs an incredible amount of money.
In fact, we can think of a long list of cars you can buy for that sort of cash, including some supercars.

A record-breaking Red Bull machine
The simulator is designed to replicate the experience of driving the RB19, which is the most dominant single-seater in Formula 1 history, by a significant margin, with 21 wins, 30 podiums and 860 points.
This is the car that competed in the 2023 Championship, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez at the wheel.
The price is the sort of number that makes you think there must be a typo, but there isn’t one.
It’s $133,000, which is more than enough to buy a supercar in the secondary market.
It’s even more expensive than the Rally Fighter car designed for a Fast & Furious movie, namely Fast & Furious 8 – The Fate of the Furious.
That one ‘only’ cost $117,000.
When an F1 simulator costs more than a car
The truth is simulators are often expensive.
A while back, Red Bull unveiled another simulator, which was a bit less expensive, with a price tag of ‘just’ $90,000.
They’re expensive because they’re difficult and complex to build, but also because they’re designed to replicate exactly what the vehicle will do.
It’s one thing to build a simulator for a gamer, it’s a different question when the simulator is used to train actual drivers or pilots, which is what this can be.
