The Aston Martin Valkyrie has once again proven itself as one of the best cars out there, setting a new Silverstone lap record of one minute 56.42 seconds.
This time is more than 10 seconds faster than the previous record, making the Valkyrie one of the fastest road-legal production cars.
The lap was set by Darren Turner, a three-time Le Mans class winner.
Darren’s impressive driving skills combined with Aston Martin Valkyrie’s speed just proved how capable the car is at high speeds.

The footage revealed the Valkyrie’s incredible grip and stability as it flew through Silverstone’s high-speed corners.
The video is posted on Aston Martin’s official YouTube channel, where car enthusiasts were surprised by the vehicle’s record-breaking laps.
With a 6.5-liter V12 hybrid engine producing 1,139HP and generating 1,100kg of downforce, the Valkyrie continues to impress everyone.
In fact, many even dubbed the car as a Formula 1 car for the road.
Now, after this amazing Silverstone lap record achievement, the brand is set to compete in IMSA and WEC with the Valkyrie LMH.

Aston Martin fans from around the world gathered to share their thoughts on the new success, with one viewer commenting: “I know it’s an extreme car but a < 2 minute lap in a road car on road tyres is unreal.”
