The rarest Tesla on earth has been found, having only ever driven 2,800 miles in over a decade and never touching rain.

Tesla makes a number of extraordinary cars, and modifiers have continued to create wonderful variations of their cars.

But this is the rarest Tesla on Earth.

A 2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport with an incredible backstory is claiming the title, as it sits on sale for $1.5million.

Rarest Tesla on Earth found with awesome backstory

As rare cars go, Tesla’s portfolio usually doesn’t stack up to be valued at millions of dollars – such as the rarest and ‘scariest’ muscle car ever does – but this 2011 Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport has been spotted to be worth over seven figures.

The car in question was the last Roadster ever produced at the Menlo Park assembly line in Arizona.

End-of-production cars are remarkably rare, and this car has remained in its pristine condition ever since.

But this car isn’t just the last of a batch. It’s actually got the seal of approval from Elon himself.

Musk’s signature can be seen engraved into the dashboard, catapulting this usually ordinary car into the realm of being the rarest Tesla on Earth.

If you want a rarer Tesla car, you’ll have to leave this planet and somehow find the ‘Starman’ Roadster out there in space.

The car was originally bought for $138,645 and was delivered to the unnamed owners’ residence via a trailer, maintaining its ridiculously low mileage.

The car has also never faced harsh weather, having been kept completely away from the rain – the only wetness will be from the drool of Tesla enthusiasts.

Having been submitted to the Gruber Motor Company for an extensive Powertrain Electronics Module (PEM) rebuild and upgrade, the car continues to be kept in a temperature-controlled room.

How much is the rarest Tesla worth?

Despite being bought at only $138k, the car is now valued at, well, whatever anybody wants to pay.

The unofficial price is $1.5 million, although that could fluctuate with some bidding.

According to Gruber Motor Company, the car fell into their care four years ago, and little is known whether it has moved on since, or continues to be a centerpiece of this Florida home pictured above.

It makes quite the change from the rare Cybertruck crossovers that we see nowadays, at least.

On the flip side of this collector’s item, one Tesla fanatic recently found the highest-mileage Model 3 ever and was left stunned at the EV’s performance. Maybe the cars don’t need to be museum pieces to shine brightly.
