The new BMW M2 CS is here and it almost sounds like an F1 car

Unveiled at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, the BMW M2 CS is a six-cylinder high-performance beast.

It’s more powerful than before, and a lot faster.

And the sound is amazing.

There’s also something else BMW fans will be happy to hear.

BMW often chooses the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy to unveil some of its best high-performance models.

This is partly because these cars look great against the backdrop of Lake Como, but also because BMW has a standing partnership with the Concorso.

The M2 was unveiled at Villa d’Este, alongside the BMW SpeedTop Concept based on the Skytop, as a replacement for the 2019 BMW M2 CS.

The six-cylinder engine now produces 530HP, and it gives it a 0-62MPH (0-100KMH) time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 302KMH – a hair over 186MPH.

The car actually sounds great, almost like a modern F1 car, which, coincidentally, also has six cylinders.

Visually, the car looks ‘meaner’ than before, thanks to the lowered ride height, the new front splitter, and the new black M kidney grille.

The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged M wheels complete the package.

BMW also introduced four new color options for this high-performance coupe.

Now you can choose between Sapphire Black metallic, BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic, M Brooklyn Grey metallic, and M Portimao Blue metallic.

Inside, you’ll find redesigned M Carbon bucket seats, an Alcantara steering wheel, and the upgraded fully digital curved display, which runs on BMW OS.

BMW hasn’t shared an MSRP for the U.S. market, but they did say this car will start from $130,000 in Germany.

And the good news is, unlike the Skytop and Speedtop, production is not limited.
