The new $30m Rolls-Royce Droptail is a crimson V12 that includes a watch worth more than your car

The $30m Rolls-Royce Droptail is a crimson V12 named La Rose Noire, and its built-in bespoke Audemars Piguet luxury watch is probably worth more than your car.

Some cars come with cool features.

Nice cupholders, tinted windows, even some cool interactive dashboards, they’re all the rage.

But that’s all child’s play to Rolls-Royce, which doesn’t do luxury by the half, and boasts features on its crown jewel supercar like a unique watch that slots into the dash.

The Rolls-Royce Droptail range is a masterclass in design. In fact, some of the models need more than 8,000 hours of painstaking work to perfect.

The esteemed English brand has often gone above and beyond in the experimental luxury within its fleet. But few come close to the Droptail series and its one-off designs.

Often coming with built-in watches, these one-of-one supercars are dripping in such luxury that they’re estimated to cost over $30 million to own.

The latest of the series to arrive is the Rolls-Royce Droptail La Rose Noire. And this version sees the Droptail get a deep crimson appearance.

Rolls-Royce

Known as the most expensive car on the planet, the Rolls-Royce Droptail La Rose Noire is inspired by the French Black Baccara hybrid rose.

It was requested by the intended owners, given that it’s the favourite flower of the matriarch.

The petals are mimicked in the body and interior of the La Rose Noire, becoming a beautiful garden of class.

But despite its impressive and powerful drivetrain and a V12 engine, the most luxurious element is the clock on the dashboard.

While many cars have a digital clock, this Droptail features a bespoke Audemars Piguet luxury watch built into the dash.

The owners will be able to slot it in during the drive to keep tabs on the time. They can then eject it at the push of a button to sport it as the ultimate accessory.

Rolls-Royce

We’ve seen some watches made specifically to be paired with cars before – take the $274k Richard Mille made to be partnered with the McLaren W1, for example.

But Rolls-Royce has changed the game by actually placing this Audemars Piguet timepiece into the dash.
