Shaquille O’Neal AKA Shaq bought a Lucid Air, an electric sedan, and turned it into a coupe so he could fit inside.
Shaq’s imposing size helped him win titles during his time in the NBA, but it also means he has a hard time fitting in the cabin of most cars.
The Lucid Air is no exception.
That’s why he decided to turn it into a coupe.

How Shaq turned the Lucid Air into a coupe
Nearly two meters in width and five meters in length, the Lucid Air isn’t small and even reasonably tall people have no problem with headroom and legroom.
But Shaq is seven-foot-one (2.16m), and he’s got arms that are longer than some people’s legs, so he struggles to fit in most things.
The Lucid Air was no different.
Shaq called West Coast Customs, the tuning company most people might associate Xzibit’s Pimp My Ride, and asked them if they could convert the four-door Lucid Air into a two-door coupe, which of course they did.
West Coast Customs is the same firm that turned will.i.am’s Mercedes into a DeLorean and Mark Zuckerberg’s Porsche into a Cayenne Van, so converting a four-door sedan into a coupe was just another day for them.
Apart from the four-door to two-door conversion, West Coast Customs also changed the ‘Lucid’ logo at the front and replaced it with ‘Diesel’, one of Shaq’s nicknames.

He’s got the world’s first carbon fiber Cybertruck, which Elon Musk apparently thinks ‘nice’, and three Rolls-Royces he apparently never drives.
He also famously made a Ferrari 360 a few inches longer so he could drive it.
Ferrari is probably not very happy about that though.
