British royals Prince William and Kate are apparently spending the summer aboard Opera superyacht, a massive $450 million vessel owned by the Al Nahyan family of Abu Dhabi.
From ‘my royal family to yours’ – as it turns out – because the Al Nahyans are also royals.
And as you’d imagine, this boat is absolutely massive.
The size is impressive, but what’s even more impressive is the number of decks.

The British royals have seven decks at their disposal
Opera is one of the world’s largest and most expensive yachts.
It’s also quite efficient, running on a diesel-electric propulsion system that makes the yacht as ‘green’ as a vessel of this size can be.
You still need around 320,000 liters of diesel to keep this floating palace moving, though.
Built by Lürssen, the 479-foot (146.35 meters) vessel can accommodate 48 guests in 26 cabins, and it also has room for 40 crew ready to help and serve British royals Prince William and Kate.
The most impressive number – the one to bear in mind – is seven, because that’s how many decks this yacht has.
Among other things, it also has two swimming pools, spas, and gyms.
Unfortunately, no one knows what the interior looks like, precisely because of who the owner is.
The Al Nahyan family has an incredible superyacht fleet
In addition to Opera, the Al Nahyan family of Abu Dhabi owns several other yachts.
For starters, they have the Flying Fox, a 446-foot (135 meters) yacht that Jay-Z and Beyonce used to charter every summer.
They also own Blue, a 524-foot (160 meters) yacht worth around $600 million, and A+, previously named Topaz, a 482-foot (147 meters) superyacht worth $450 million.
Then again, the Al Nayhan family has an estimated net worth of around $1 trillion when we include the value of all the assets they manage.
So we kind of expect them to have a lot of yachts.
