Tesla has confirmed the launch of a brand-new Model 3+ sedan.
Recent filings have confirmed some interesting details about this new Model 3+.
It will, for one thing, potentially come with more than 500 miles of range.
The sticking point, however, is that it appears the new Model 3+ will only be available in China.

MIIT filings confirm updates to Tesla range in China
Tesla has been at the epicentre of new-range rumours for quite a while now.
It now finally appears that Tesla fans will be getting more range.
Unfortunately, they will only be getting it in China.
And it’s actually thanks to the Chinese government that we know this is coming.
Chinese legislation requires carmakers to publicly share pictures and technical details of their plans.
These filings allow the media and the public to see cars, sometimes before manufacturers are really comfortable sharing them.
And it is one such MIIT filing that has re-captured the imagination of Tesla fandom.
Tesla confirms that new Model 3+ is coming
A recent MIIT filing confirmed that a new variant of the Tesla Model 3 was coming.
This new Tesla Model 3+ is pretty much identical to the original Model 3 in almost every way.
There is, however, one striking, fundamental difference – and that difference is range.
The recent MIIT filings confirmed that Tesla has paired an NMC battery (supplied by LG Energy Solution) with a single-motor offering.
This powerplant configuration has proven popular in the U.S, and it might get even better again.
Because this battery and single-motor combination could provide more than 500 miles of range.
It is expected that Tesla plans to start delivery of the Model 3+ in China in September.
This latest offering is expected to cost somewhere in the starting range of $37,000.
Tesla has also not stopped there – as its MIIT filings has confirmed another variant is coming.
The filings also confirmed a Tesla Model Y L – a much-anticipated refresh.
This updated Model Y L is expected to provide a long-wheelbase variant of the existing Model Y.
