Tesla Optimus is becoming increasingly human-like.

Tesla’s robot can already do some things, and Elon Musk says they’ll be able to do more in the future.

More to the point, the upgraded Optimus can now do the same things as before, but better.

Tesla shared a video to prove it, showcasing how Optimus can now do more things autonomously than before.

What can Tesla’s robot actually do?

Elon Musk says that sooner or later Optimus might become the biggest product ever, potentially making a Tesla multi-trillion dollar company.

He believes that he’ll make our life easier by doing things for us.

Although he does concede that there’s a small chance everything might end up in disaster.

For now, Optimus can do simple things, but it’s getting better at them quite quickly.

The robot is already being ’employed’ at Tesla factories to perform simple tasks.

The truth behind Optimus at the robotaxi event

Several Optimus robots were deployed during the latest Tesla event, the big Cybercab unveiling.

Optimus robots could be seen walking around, dancing, serving drinks to people and talking to people.

The thing is, several people noticed that Optimus robots used during the event were not fully autonomous.

When it comes to certain tasks, they were remotely controlled rather than fully autonomous.

During the event, somebody asked Optimus of how much of ‘him’ (it?) was autonomous or AI.

After some hesitation, the robot replied cryptically but tellingly.

“Some,” Optimus said.

The person who asked the question reportedly learned that Tesla Optimus was, in fact, fully autonomous only when it was walking.

But when it came to other things like pouring drinks and rapidly answering questions of various kinds, there was human assistance involved.

So it might not be there yet, but Elon Musk seems to be rather confident with his plan to make everyone use robots.
