And even though he had to stop to fill up a couple of times, he said he was pleasantly surprised by the low cost.

After the trip, he even compared the trip’s running cost to what it would have cost in his Ford F-150 Raptor, and in his book, he said the Cybertruck trumped the Ford by a mile.

He praised one specific feature of the EV pickup truck, saying it was a blessing on a long drive.

Road trip in a Cybertruck

After testing the Cybertruck’s drivability on a long road trip, Taylor Holden took to the ‘Tesla Cybertruck Owners’ group on Facebook to express his love for the EV pickup truck.

Not only was he impressed with the overall journey, he said he was stoked with one thing in particular.

“Just did our first road trip in it, 1100 miles. We broke it up over two days and mostly had FSD do the work,” he explained.

Taylor used the Full Self-Driving mode, which has the ability to identify stop signs and traffic lights and can even slow your EV down, too.

But, the most impressive part? He says it was more cost-efficient than his Ford F-150 Raptor.

“Spent $119 in electricity, way way better than my old F-150 Raptor,” he explained.

You have to admit, spending a bit over $100 on 1,1000 miles of power isn’t bad.

When he took to the Tesla owners’ forum with his glowing review, others were quick to chime in with their own praise for the EV.

“I found it to be much easier than I expected. Hope you did too! Great looking truck!” one said.

Thanks to the recent shift of drivers moving from gas-powered vehicles to electric powertrains, people are considering EV pickup trucks more seriously than ever.

From cost to power and towing capability, people are putting them to the test to try to find the ultimate electric truck.

In fact, one Cybertruck owner managed to tow thousands of pounds whilst on a Californian road trip, and it had a surprising set of results.

The Ford F-150 Raptor has also been put to the test to discover just how indestructible it is.
