The two companies are known to be rivals and compete for the top EV pickup truck spot.

But what similarities do the two share when it comes to marketing their offerings.

Well, let’s have a look, shall we?

The Cybertruck is always a talking point in the EV world

Tesla’s Cybertruck is the dominating force in the electric vehicle world.

For example, one man loved his Cybertruck so much that he shared 10 reasons why it’s the best vehicle he’s ever bought.

Thanks to its popularity, the company recently launched a new Cybertruck variant with extra range.

But, just wait until you see what the geniuses behind the marketing for the EV have come up with.

Tesla has drawn inspiration from Ford

The images on the front of the Cybertruck’s page have been updated, and it’s safe to say they look familiar.

In fact, they bare a striking resemblance to Ford’s F-150 promo images, in more ways than one.

To start with, both of the electric trucks are towing a camper, with Ford’s relating more to everyday use rather than Tesla’s shiny version, mimicking the exterior of the metal Cybertruck.

We have to admit it sure is a far cry from Tesla’s initial futuristic ploy when the EV first shot to fame upon its release.

Not only has Tesla drawn inspiration from Ford’s exterior images, but it’s also paid attention to the load in that lies in the truck’s bed.

Both the F-150 and Cybertruck are pictured carrying materials used in everyday DIY tasks, like building fences, and other useful products.

The proof is in the pudding, and it’s evident that Tesla has switched from marketing the Cybertruck as a futuristic vehicle to a daily driver-type truck that can be used to complete everyday tasks, too.

It’s worth noting as well that Tesla recently slashed prices of its pioneering EV truck, so maybe this is also part of the shift in strategy.

What do you think of the almost identical marketing images?

We’re used to seeing cars marketed in a similar way – after all, most vehicles have the same uses.

But this may come as a surprise to some fans.
