This supercar fanatic dad bagged a $191,000 Ferrari 488 GTB for just 35 cents.

The self-proclaimed petrol head managed to secure the car after entering a competition.

The win came at the perfect time for the dad who had just dropped his child off at Kindergarten.

The yellow Ferrari was a well-deserved treat after he’d gone through a hard time.

Ferraris are every car lover’s dream buy, but they cost a fair few bucks.

The powerful autos are loved by people all over the world, including some very famous faces.

For example, Max Verstappen was recently spotted testing a Ferrari GT3 at Nürburgring under an alias. Plus, Nick Mason, from the band Pink Floyd, even owns a Ferrari worth 10 times more than the average US home.

As you can imagine, Ferraris carry a hefty price tag, even when they are snapped up second hand.

Luckily, though, competitions exist where you can actually enter a prize draw for under a dollar. Which is exactly what one dad from the UK did.

BOTB

Michael, from Horsham in Surrey, was completing the kindergarten run like any other day after just returning from a holiday, when he noticed a very special surprise outside his house.

He previously entered a BOTB prize draw to win a supercar for just 35 cents. And as luck would have it, his efforts in entering had actually paid off.

The Ferrari 488 GTB was now his, and the car lover was simply overjoyed.

“This is just crazy,” he said.

The surprise of the win came at a great time, as he’d been receiving treatment for illness and had gotten back from a vacation only a matter of hours before.

Michael described himself as a gearhead ‘on budget money,’ and couldn’t quite believe he’d actually won the car, after previously visiting the Nürburgring race track in Germany.

BOTB

“The 488 GTB name marks a return to the classic Ferrari model designation with the 488 in its moniker indicating the engine’s unitary displacement, while the GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta,” states Ferrari itself.

So, Michael really was lucky to bag the Ferrari 488 GTB supercar for just 35 cents, don’t you think?

This isn’t the first time that someone has won big from mere money. One lucky man previously paid 32 cents and got a $190k Ferrari 488, plus an Audi RS Q8 and a Mercedes C63S were also won by a taxi driver.
