Have you ever wondered which Tesla has the best EV battery range? Well, you’ve come to the right place because this is the Supercar Blondie handy guide to all things Tesla range.

Tesla launched its first car – the Roadster – back in 2008 and has since gone on to release the Model S, Model Y, Model X, Model 3, and the Cybertruck.

All Tesla models offer a long battery range relative to most other EVs on the market.

At this point, it seems important to point out that these are estimates and real-world driving conditions will impact the actual range – but with that said, let’s dive in.

Model S range

Launched in 2012, the Model S was the second vehicle Tesla launched after the Roadster.

Tesla

The Model S has the longest range of any Tesla with the standard Model S offering up to 410 miles of range.

The Model S Plaid offers a slightly lower – but still very impressive – EV battery range of 348 miles.

Model Y range

The Tesla Model Y SUV went into production in 2020 and has been a huge success for the automaker.

In 2023, it was the best-selling vehicle in the world – the first ever EV to claim that title.

In terms of range, the Model Y Performance offers 277 miles, but there are also a couple of Long Range options.

The Model Y Long AWD has an estimated 311 miles of range, while the Long Range RWD offers 337 miles.

Tesla Cybertruck range

Tesla

The Tesla Cybertruck is probably the marque’s most talked about vehicle, thanks to its futuristic looks and near-indestructible exterior.

According to Tesla, the Cybertruck offers an estimated 339 miles of range – an impressive EV battery range for such a hefty truck.

Model X range

Originally launched in 2015, the Tesla Model X underwent a refresh in 2021.

Looking at the Model X’s range – the standard Model X offers an estimated 329 miles, while its Plaid counterpart is a little bit lower at 314 miles.

Model 3 range

Much like the Model Y, the Tesla Model 3 is available as either a Performance vehicle or as a couple of Long Range options.

This translates to an estimated 298 miles for the Model 3 Performance; 311 miles for the Long Range AWD; and 338 miles for the Model 3 Long Range RWD.

Roadster range

The Roadster was Tesla’s first production vehicle and a second-generation version is currently taking reservations.

Tesla

The original Roadster has a range of 244 miles, which is impressive.

But still not quite as impressive as the range Tesla has promised for the newer model.

According to Tesla, the slick-looking – and super-speedy – 2025 Roadster will offer a whopping EV battery range of 620 miles – meaning range anxiety could be a thing of the past.

Tesla Semi range

OK, so the Tesla Semi isn’t your average Tesla production vehicle and it’s unlikely that you’ll ever end up driving one.

But for those interested, Tesla says its EV semi truck offers up 500 miles of range on a single charge and uses less than 2 kWh per mile of energy consumption.
