This Porsche Boxster bought on Facebook Marketplace had sat abandoned due to the scary surprise lurking inside.
When it comes to buying cars online, you have to exercise some caution.
What was living inside this Boxster had deterred other buyers from buying it.
But does that mean the car is beyond hope?

What was inside this Porsche Boxster?
Jay Altum was the owner of this 2001 car and he admitted that it’d be sitting unused for around two years.
That’s not an insignificant amount of time for a car to sit unloved.
Admittedly, it’s not quite as long as these classic cars, which were left deserted for 30 years, but it’s not ideal either.
The YouTube channel RESTORED paid a visit to the Boxster, which had been sitting out in a field for years.
From the outside, the car wasn’t looking too bad – nothing that a good clean couldn’t fix.
Besides some damage to the windshield inflicted during a storm, the body was in good shape.
So what was the issue?
It was something on the inside that gave people pause for thought.
Now, interior issues are nothing new when it comes to cars – this abandoned Honda Acura NSX had mice living inside of it.
But let’s just say, what was living inside this Boxster was on the scalier side.
To quote Indiana Jones: “Snakes, why’d it have to be snakes?”

Altum recalled: “I had a guy come over, lived here local.
“Right off the bat, when he pulled the driver’s seat back, there was a big snake in there.
“He said he’d just gotten out the hospital two weeks before after being bitten by a snake.
“He turned the offer down real quick.”
We’re not surprised.
Is the snake still inside the car?
Before any restoration work could be done on the car, one thing would have to be checked – is the reptilian intruder still in the vehicle?
With Altum estimating that the snake was three inches in diameter, this is one serpent you wouldn’t want taking you by surprise.
As the team checked out the vehicle, they spotted some signs of snake activity, namely some shedded skin.
There’s also some poop on the floor, but there’s no saying whether that was left by the snake.
Animal issues aside, the car will need some tweaks to get it up and running again.
The Boxster had a dead battery, making it a struggle to get onto the loading trailer.
Eventually the team had to settle for getting it into neutral.
