The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed got underway last week, with the event kicking off on July 10 and drawing to a close on July 13.

As ever, the Goodwood Festival of Speed was a true highlight of the automotive calendar.

The theme this year was The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers and it did not disappoint.

We saw Koenigsegg demolish Czinger’s hill climb record, a custom $160,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan that offered private jet-levels of luxury, and some new car reveals.

Elsewhere, Porsche held its Porsche Autokino, a stunning trip through the heritage, passion, and history of the carmaker via a selection of some of its most iconic cars.

Amongst those on display were the 1957 550A Spyder once driven by Ken Miles, a futuristic futuristic 911 GT3 created by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch, and the 963 RSP, a car designed to bridge the gap between road-legal hypercar and racecar.

There was also the ‘Mirage’ 911 Carrera RS 3.8 that become a movie star after appearing Transformers, as well as the 911 Turbo S that also made its way onto the big screen in Bad Boys.

All in all, it’s a collection quite unlike any other out there and a real treat for car enthusiasts.

The showcase was also used as the setting for the launch of The Intern, a new movie about the life of an intern at the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen starring Adrien Brody, creating a truly unique drive-in cinema.

Porsche also unveiled a heavily camouflaged Cayenne Electric

Alongside its collection of historical and heritage vehicles, the German carmaker used the Goodwood Festival of Speed as an opportunity to look to the future by offering a first glimpse of the upcoming Cayenne Electric.

A heavily camouflaged prototype was introduced to showcase the upcoming car’s performance, comfort, and off-road capabilities.

The prototype took to the famous Goodwood hill several times and gave fans a chance to get a first proper look at how the car will handle.
