The Tesla truck’s stainless steel panels are seriously tough.

This was highlighted in a recent Facebook post, after a Cybertruck was hit by a tree in California.

Despite the huge tree tumbling right down onto the front of the truck, once it was removed, the truck still drove.

The Tesla Cybertruck is a seriously tough vehicle

Alongside the promise of much cheaper fuel bills, when Tesla launched the Cybertruck a big deal was made of how tough it was.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has previously said the Cybertruck is ‘the finest in apocalypse defense technology’ after footage emerged of thieves trying their best to break in without success.

Cybertruck owners have even gone to extremes to showcase how tough their EV is – attacking it with bats, steel balls, and more in an attempt to break the glass, without success.

The seriously tough exterior of the EV has now been showcased once again.

The truck was hit by a tree and still able to drive from the scene

Images shared on Facebook by a man called Duc Tran show the Tesla, which had a slick black wrap, with the massive tree resting on top of it.

The brunt of the damage appeared to be on the driver’s side front quarter and the truck’s frunk.

Another limb of the tree had crashed down and managed to shatter one of the truck’s super-strong windows – but the roof held strong.

In fact, considering what it had been through the truck appeared to be in fairly good shape.

Sure, it’s bodywork will need a few repairs here and there and that glass will have to be replaced – but it’s safe to say not many vehicles would have come out of this looking so good.

Even more impressive is the fact that the Tesla reportedly sustained no serious mechanical damage and, once rescuers removed the fallen the tree, the Tesla Cybertruck still drove as normal.

Photos of the truck shared online soon attracted plenty of comments from folks who couldn’t quite believe their eyes.

“The Cybertruck proving it’s as tough as they claim!” one person said.

“A lot of other vehicles would have been caved in,” a second noted.

“It held up pretty good,” said a third.

You can say that again.
