Electric cars have changed the car world

Electric cars have completely changed the nature and dynamic of the car industry.

For the past few years, EVs have become much more than just a city-focused niche.

Instead, they’ve gone mainstream, becoming much better options as time has gone on.

For one thing, the rise in viable infrastructure has made ownership very reasonable.

Tesla, for example, has built a network with tens of thousands of chargers across the United States.

Another reason for the popularity increase is the price of EVs compared to rivals.

Chinese brands, especially BYD, are not only offering competitive electric cars, they’re also being offered at competitive prices – even undercutting EV rivals.

What has led to the surge in EV popularity?

And there is now, according to research, a third reason for the revolution.

AAA conducted a research survey in America concerning electric cars.

During that survey, the association asked owners about the primary reason for buying an EV.

And the results could not have been more clear and emphatic.

According to the survey, a whopping 77 percent of owners said that EV ownership was due to saving on gas costs.

That survey was conducted in 2022 – a year when gas prices reached $5 per gallon on average.

It has naturally led to a surge of interest in electric car ownership.

The survey clearly displays how strong the trend towards ownership of electric cars has become.

Could EV ownership grow to become an appealing option for others as time goes on?
