After almost 14 years, there’s a new Nissan Patrol off-roader SUV that has been fully modernized.
The seventh-generation model comes with a new look and a modernized interior design.
It will be sold in the US as the 2025 Nissan Armada, but outside the country, it will be marketed as the Nissan Patrol.
However, it will be dropping the naturally aspirated V8 for a powerful twin-turbocharged V6 engine.

New Nissan Patrol design
The seventh-generation Nissan Patrol or Armada comes with a bold new design.
It is the closest rival to the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser, another off-roader SUV with a similarly rugged and upright design.
The SUV comes with C-shaped LED lights framing the huge and imposing grille.
It also has a light strip going across the square bonnet and a redesigned lower bumper.
Overall, the new Nissan Patrol looks very square and boxy, the same as the one it replaces but more modern.
The SUV also gets a set of massive 22-inch alloy wheels adding to the rugged look.
Engine and chassis
The new Nissan Patrol comes with a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that is more powerful than its predecessor.
It produces 425hp, a 30hp increase over the old SUV, and 700Nm of torque.
There’s also a turbo-less naturally aspirated version of the SUV that produces 316hp and 386Nm of torque.
That’s quite a substantial drop in power but it’s going to be cheaper and more reliable in the long run.
The SUV also comes with an air suspension setup that can raise the car to clear larger obstacles and lower it at high speeds to improve aerodynamics.
Interior and infotainment
Although the new Nissan Patrol is an off-roader SUV, it comes with a modern and civilized interior.
You get two massive 14.3-inch screens across the dashboard.
Plus, you can also get two 12.8-inch screens in the back to keep the passengers entertained and connect a game consoles via HDMI.
A 12-speaker premium audio system also goes hand in hand with these screens.
There are also 64 different colors for the ambient lighting to choose from.
2025 Nissan Patrol will release only in selective regions
The all-new Nissan Patrol will be available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Middle East region starting from November 1, 2024.
The US version of the SUV, the 2025 Nissan Armada is also set to go on sale in late 2024.
You can expect both cars to be out by the end of the year.
Unfortunately, the SUV won’t arrive in Australian showrooms until late 2026.
Other than that, the Patrol is not expected to be reintroduced to Europe due to emissions regulations.
