The new AMG hypercar has been revealed, complete with Ferrari-style taillights, a pixel display, and bold styling directly inspired by the Vision AMG.

The car, shown in bright orange, is believed to be the long-awaited electric flagship for Mercedes-AMG.

Official teasers hinted at a dramatic silhouette earlier this month, but these new images offer a far more complete view of its styling and proportions.

From its rear lighting to its roofline, the new hypercar stands out as a radical new chapter for the brand.

Design details of the new AMG hypercar suggest serious performance

At the rear, six Ferrari-style taillights dominate the visual signature, placed high on the bodywork and spaced out evenly.

Between them is a slim horizontal pixel display that may be used to show custom messages or animated graphics, similar to features seen on other EVs, like the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The design also omits a traditional rear window, hinting at a digital rearview display like that used in the Polestar 4.

Paired with a sharply styled nose, illuminated grille, and SLR-inspired headlights, the car blends retro cues with futuristic flair.

Inside, the new hypercar continues its concept-inspired approach.

It features a yoke-style steering wheel, a fully digital cockpit, and vibrant orange ambient lighting.

Door handles are replaced with fabric straps, adding a motorsport edge that aligns with the vehicle’s performance ambitions.

Combined with its aggressive proportions, the interior shows a clear break from the brand’s current design conventions.

Underpinning this new hypercar is likely the AMG.EA electric platform, developed specifically for high-performance EVs.

Reports suggest the car will use an 800V system and axial flux electric motors, which could produce over 1,000 horsepower.

If those figures hold true, it would position this vehicle directly against the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.

It could also serve as the fully electric successor to the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, with a renewed focus on both speed and technology.

Vision AMG influence confirms design direction

The overall form and surfacing closely resemble the Vision AMG concept shown in 2022, suggesting that this production model remains faithful to that design vision.

The use of Ferrari-style taillights and a pixel display enhances the futuristic image while grounding it in recognizable performance cues.

The absence of a rear window, along with the illuminated grille and sharp lighting graphics, adds to the car’s visual impact and aerodynamic efficiency.

An official name or reveal date for the car has not yet been revealed, though the brand has teased that ‘a new dimension is about to unfold.’

With fully detailed images already online, a public debut seems imminent, possibly aligned with an upcoming global auto event.

As anticipation builds, the new AMG hypercar is shaping up to be one of the most important electric performance models of the year.

The new hypercar blends Ferrari-style taillights, a functional pixel display, and a design language lifted directly from its predecessor.

As Mercedes-AMG pushes further into the electric era, this model shows how performance, design, and innovation can come together to define the future of the brand.
