NASA’s latest discovery about Earth deemed ‘as important as gravity’

NASA just made a bizarre discovery about Earth and says that it’s an invisible force that is ‘as important as gravity.’

NASA discovers Earth’s new ‘third force’How did they do it?

Researchers at the space agency have been searching for this since the late 1960s — when the idea of it was actually hypothesized.

After a long wait of over six decades, a team of researchers and scientists have confirmed the presence of this force.

Long story short, it’s an invisible force that counters gravity and is actually stronger than the Earth’s gravitational pull.

NASA discovers Earth’s new ‘third force’

It all began in the 1960s when spacecraft flying over the Earth’s North Pole (and South Pole) detected unusual streams of particles launching into space at supersonic speeds.

That’s right — the particles were opposing gravity at speeds more than that of sound.

This is when the idea that an invisible electric field — dubbed ‘Polar Wind’ — existed at the poles.

In these extreme regions of our planet, the atmosphere appears to ‘leak’ particles into space.

Since that time, the space agency has been working on finding ways to confirm said field’s existence.

“This field is so fundamental to understanding the way our planet works — it’s been here since the beginning alongside gravity and magnetism,” Glyn Collinson, Endurance principal investigator at NASA, said.

“It basically lifts the skies up,” he added.

How did they do it?

Collinson and his team started developing sensors that could detect atmospheric changes.

These were fitted on the NASA Endurance rocket and were launched in 2022 from Norway as part of a mission.

Now, this location had a geographical advantage — it was only a few hundred miles away from the North Pole.

Further, the research team collected enough data to confirm that the atmosphere above the poles indeed goes through a minimal voltage change.

As small as it may be, it was enough to confirm that the Polar Wind exists, and begins its effects roughly 150 miles above the Earth’s surface.

This invisible force, which is as important as gravity, is approximately 10.6 times stronger than gravity itself.

That’s certainly a remarkable discovery — and thankfully, the strong opposing force only exists at the poles.

It wouldn’t be convenient if all regions had an invisible and powerful force like that, would it?
