The owner of the car accidentally left his Apple AirPods inside, and they ultimately came to his rescue.

When the thief drove off with the car, the police used the location of the Airpods to find it.

To be specific, Apple’s Find My Network technology was used in the process – a feature commonly used to locate the lost devices.

Apple Airpods help locate Ferrari

Airpods send out a signal that nearby Apple devices can detect.

So when the officials got the Airpods’ location, they were able to track it down to a gas station nearby.

As soon as the officials arrived, the man jumped out of the car and ran away.

However, luckily for the officials, he left his phone in the car, making it easy for the officers to identify him, and the guy got what he deserved.

Following the successful tracking of the car, Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo stated, “WPD continues to actively investigate motor vehicle thefts and hold individuals accountable for their actions.”

The perfect use of technology

It was an incredible demonstration of how gadgets can be used in the perfect way and even beyond what they are made for.

With a little help from Apple, the police were able to track down an expensive car like this Ferrari.
