A man who bought a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado with an interesting history held onto it for two months before selling it on – now he’s keen to get it back, on one condition.

The bright orange Eldorado has had a pretty unusual past having previously appeared on an episode of MTV’s Pimp My Ride.

The Cadillac looked almost exactly as it did after appearing on the show 20 years ago – with a custom orange and white paint job, matching interiors, and a somewhat bizarre gaming set up inside.

Two decades on, a fan of the show named Mike managed to track down the car to South Carolina and decided to snap it up.

But that turned out to be a bit of a misguided move from Mike – who soon discovered the car wasn’t quite what he’d thought.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a case of buyer’s remorse after someone bought a used car.

Remember the man who handed over a whopping $130,000 for a sight unseen Plymouth Superbird which turned out to be riddled with problems? Or the guy who flew all the way from the US to Germany to pick up his dream 1966 Corvette only to find the car in parts when he arrived?

Meanwhile, Mike – who runs the Elevate Without Limits YouTube channel – soon discovered that the TV-famous Cadillac had more than a few problems.

First up, it had changed hands six or seven times before he got his hands on it.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, except none of the past owners had put the car’s title in their name. Not ideal.

And the problems didn’t end there – there was actually a far bigger issue: the car didn’t run.

“It wasn’t running,” he explained in a video. “I thought I was getting a running, driving car with a clean title and that wasn’t the case. I was just in way over my head so I decided to let it go.”

In the end, poor Mike sold the car to a man who lived nearby after just a couple of months.

The man uploaded a clip of the Cadillac to YouTube but has since removed it – meaning Mike has no idea where the car is or how it’s doing right now.

Mike is hopeful the new buyer will fix it up properly and get it back up and running.

He even went on to say that he’d consider re-buying it himself if it underwent a full restoration.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for you, Mike.
