Man takes flooded Mustang to Oklahoma Ford dealership to see what they’ll find, gets a huge surprise

An American took his Ford Mustang muscle car that was flood-damaged to a Ford dealership in Oklahoma to see what they could find, and he got a huge surprise.

YouTuber Randy from The Car Addict owned a Ford Mustang GT from 2021 and bought it for less than $30,000 as it was flood-damaged.

It was originally listed as a non-runner. But remarkably, the YouTuber was able to get the muscle car up and running again.

But, after taking it to a Ford dealership to see why the car smelled so bad, he and the dealer were in for a surprise.

When Randy bought the muscle car, it was listed for $28,842.

The four-year-old Ford Mustang had just 3,800 miles on the clock, but it had been written off by the insurance company.

Allegedly, the car had been flooded, with the insurers writing it off after an inspection.

Yet after some work, the YouTuber was able to get the Ford back up and running again.

Everything on it works, from the engine itself to the dashboard and the electronics.

There was, however, a horrible smell in the car, and Randy suspected there was also some mold.

The Mustang went to a detailer, who gave it a major clean inside and outside and gave it a major refresh.

Three weeks after dropping it off, the YouTuber came to pick it up and was stunned by the results.

Gone was the smell, and inside it was clean and pristine, as was the exterior of the muscle car.

Following this, the flooded Ford went straight to a dealership in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

This was so it could have an oil change and replacement filters added, as well as a few other bits and pieces.

Ford also gave the car a good inspection.

After the $860 service, they found that the car was perfectly healthy despite its troubled past.

The Mustang cost $26,750, with the detailing $800 and the service and repairs less than $900.

The plan now is to add a couple of updates to the Mustang before selling it to a new owner.

Given the condition of this ‘flood-damaged‘ car, Randy is highly likely to make a tidy profit.
