After restoring a scrapyard-worthy Lamborghini Revuelto back up to its $600,000 value, this UK mechanic has decided to sell his wild creation to CarWow, an online marketplace, and he was left surprised by the offer.

Mat Armstrong is a wizard when it comes to restoring supercars, having worked on Aston Martins, McLarens, and many more of Europe’s finest models.

But this Lamborghini Revuelto was arguably his biggest project ever.

Now, he’s had enough, and it’s off after a surprising offer.

This particular Lamborghini is no ordinary supercar. The Revuelto was given a ‘zero percent’ chance of being given a second lease of life after being in an incident.

But Armstrong has been restoring the legendary Lambo and has recently gotten it back on the road.

After completing a 2,000-mile trip that even Lamborghini scoffed at, the UK mechanic is now considering his options about the car’s future.

Lamenting on its $637,000 rebuild, he’s now put the details into resale website CarwWow to see if he could recover any of his spend.

In a recent YouTube upload, he revealed that the site landed him with an offer of $606,000. And, despite it being under his cost margin, he accepted. Although it does appear to be subject to what it fetches at auction.

The rebuilt Lamborghini Revuelto didn’t ‘feel like a £500k’ car ($680k), in his opinion, and getting a no-strings-attached offer with only this small loss felt worthwhile.

Can you sell supercars to CarWow and WeBuyAnyCar?

Typically, the likes of CarWow and WeBuyAnyCar are sites that will give you quick cash for cars, but not always at your desired price.

Well, the same goes for supercars, as they often snap up high-end vehicles for a quick profit from people desperate to offload.

But given the heightened price of these types of cars, you’re best off selling them privately.
