An American man has solved the age-old debate of electric vs. gasoline by conducting a tug-of-war between a Tesla Cybertruck and a 2004 Humvee.
YouTuber Flying Wheels wanted to find out if the Cybertruck could hold its own against the diesel-powered Humvee, which is still an impressive vehicle 20 years later.
Both have plenty of power under the hood, but the Cybertruck had the advantage of all the extra torque an electric powertrain produces.
When the two did face-off, the results were astounding.

How the Humvee and Tesla compared
The 2004 H1, based on the US military vehicle, has a 6.5-liter 205HP turbocharged diesel engine.
The Humvee has 440LB-FT of torque, and is well known for its excellent towing capacity and off-road prowess.
While that isn’t anywhere near the same power as the Tesla Cybertruck, it still plenty.
The Tesla EV meanwhile has 600HP from its two electric motors, and has up to 11,000lbs of towing capacity.
Locking rear differentials are another key feature of the Cybertrucks.
The Humvee was highly regarded when it first launched, but times have most certainly changed.
The YouTuber believed that the Cybertruck would decimate the Humvee.
Sadly for the gas-powered off-roader, that’s exactly what happened.
The Humvee stood no chance against the Cybertruck
The Cybertruck easily beat the H1 in the tug of war when both vehicles started pulling at the same time.
To try and even the match out, the Humvee was given a five-second head start.
However, it didn’t matter as the Tesla still easily beat its older counterpart.
The EV slowed the Humvee down to a halt and dragged it back over the goal line in an embarrassing showing.
The electric truck has proved to be controversial due to its outrageous design.
However, its powerful motors and large levels of torque have turned it into a proper tow truck.
In each tug of war, the older off-roader never had a chance to spin up its wheels and try to drag the Tesla.
The Cybertruck won with ease and proved just how mighty a proposition it is.
