A US car lover gave a brand-new Hyundai Ioniq 9 a ‘quality check’ and showed off one very neat new feature that we’ve not seen before.

Hyundai unveiled the EV three-row seat SUV back in November last year, with plans for first deliveries to hit the US during the first half of this year.

The Ioniq 9 is the third vehicle to be launched under the Ioniq sub-brand, following the 5 and the 6.

The Ioniq 9 will be the largest passenger electric vehicle that Hyundai has ever made.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 has a neat new feature

Following in the footsteps of the Ioniq 5, which has proved itself to be a reliable EV option, the Ioniq 9 blends advanced technology, long range, and futuristic looks.

Car enthusiast Justin Pech – who runs the justinscarblog TikTok and YouTube channels – gave a look around the interiors of the upcoming EV and it looks pretty cool.

Justin’s performed a ‘quality check’ on the new Ioniq 9 in the form of an ASMR-type clip, which involved him knocking on various bits of the interiors, pressing some buttons, and flicking some dials.

As he moved through the interior of the SUV he highlighted a cool little feature that allows the driver to retract or extend the door handles with a simple touch of the lock/unlock button – smart, right?

And the smart tech doesn’t end there, either

The retractable door handles aren’t the only smart little feature Hyundai has packed into the Ioniq 9.

Inside, you’ll see that the marque has introduced ‘digital side mirrors’, which give the driver a clear view of what’s happening on both sides of the vehicle – even in bad weather.

The side views are projected via monitors that are seamlessly integrated into the cockpit on the door panels.

It also comes with Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, which – as the name suggests – allows the car to remotely park itself with you standing outside the vehicle.

“It can park diagonally and perpendicularly, parallel park, as well as back into and drive forward out of a parking spot,” the carmaker said.

Alongside that, the Ioniq delivers an ‘outstanding’ driving range of up to 385 miles.

Impressive stuff.
