This guy tried selling a Porsche 911 Targa and got an offer that was a lot lower than expected.

He’d spent a lot of money on this Porsche, and even more on modifications.

But, when he tried to sell it, he found out the hard way that modding your car isn’t always a good idea.

And there was one mod in particular that single-handedly ruined the value of the car.

The ‘problem’ with this Porsche 911

Yianni Charalambous, the man behind the Yiannimize YouTube channel, bought a Porsche 911 Targa for just over £80,000, equivalent to around USD $100,000.

After that, he spent an additional $13,000 in modifications, including a spoiler, rear diffuser, new wheels, and a new wrap.

A few months later, he decided to sell the car and that’s when he got the bad news.

He tried selling his Porsche 911 Targa across different online platforms and the best offer he received was for around $100,000, which barely covered the cost of the car (not including the mods).

One of these platforms offered him $85,000.

Yiannimize

Ironically, all of these offers were worse than he expected precisely because of the mods, especially the wrap.

The 911 is one of those cars that people value more when it comes in factory-spec condition.

Aftermarket mods tarnish the value, and a wrap is one of the worst mods because it can potentially damage the body panels and the paint.

Unfortunately for Yianni, he had to find out the hard way.

The first Cybertruck owner in the UK

Yianni is a car collector and YouTuber who went viral after becoming the first Cybertruck owner in the UK.

He documented his misadventures with the Cybertruck with several videos on his channel.

The Cybertruck is simply not designed to take on European roads – so much so that many Tesla fans have been urging Elon Musk to consider making a special ‘international version’.

Yiannimize

Yianni bought one and spent months, and of course a lot of money, modifying it to make it legal in the UK.

The whole thing turned into a nightmare when one of Yianni’s friends, also a Cybertruck owner in the UK, had his truck seized by the police.

And it gets worse because, to add insult to injury, the police ended up seizing the truck for a potential issue Yianni and his friend hadn’t even spotted yet.
