Man bought $475,000 worth of U.S military equipment for just $30k and was like a kid on Christmas

Robots, excavators, and 25-ton vehicles. That was what was in store for this American man who bagged the deal of a century getting $475,000 worth of US military equipment for just $30k.

YouTube page HeavyDSparks, run by brothers Heavy D and Diesel Dave, has made a small fortune by buying equipment from auction sites and selling them.

Whether it be buying million-dollar choppers or a five-buck wrench, the duo is constantly looking to flip items bought on the cheap.

This time, they’ve couped a gargantuan delivery of military equipment, and the excitement was irrepressible.

American YouTubers buy $475k worth of military equipment and vehicles for $30k

The US Government often auctions off old stock online, allowing taxpayers an equal shot at getting some incredible tech for low prices.

Crates of gear have proven to be fruitful, like this 80-year-old box holding an awesome motorbike engine inside.

Other auctioneers have nabbed a Humvee vehicle off the official sites before loading it with a supercharger engine for unbridled entertainment.

However, Heavy D and Diesel Dave have just spent a measly $30k and bought four of the coolest pieces of equipment yet worth $475k.

The delivery included a Foster-Miller MTRS Talon 4 tactical robot, an Industrial FF12UH mini excavator, a 25-ton truck-mounted all-terrain crane, and a heavy-duty grass grapple fork.

The robot was by far the most intriguing purchase. Brand new, these devices are worth north of $100,000. But this veteran tech had been worked.

Usually, the tactical robots are deployed to disarm bombs, breach doors, or enter spaces too dangerous for a human to lead the way – better to have scrap metal.

This particular device was in good condition though and came with batteries. Heavy D revealed he spent $2,500 on the cute bot, and after joking that it could be a great drinks carrier, he would sell it for a price of $8-9,000.

The two middle-class-sized vehicles in the excavator and grapple fork were also in good shape. In fact, the excavator was brand new.

While not as technical and flamboyant as the robot, both vehicles looked to be profitable given the demand for such appliances.

Then, the larger crane looked to be a winner. The YouTuber didn’t crank its neck to the maximum during the upload, but if it was working, he’d be on to a major winner.

In total, he predicted that they would yield about $30k profit from the military equipment if they sold them all, potentially more if the crane is as functionally apt as it appears to be from an early inspection.

The $30k purchase might not live up to auctions like the original iPhone’s six-figure sum, but it’s an impressive haul nonetheless.

Now, auctioning cars is quite a hit too, and our very own SBX Cars previously sold one of the rarest McLaren Senna’s ever for $1 million, and there are plenty more cars to look at.
