What makes this superyacht cost $3,000,000 to charter per week? And that’s not all…

The M/Y Kismet, once known as Project Jag, was built by Lürssen Yachts.

There’s no doubt that it’s an impressive vessel.

But with a bank-busting $3m charge just to sail it for one week, you have to wonder – what makes this yacht stand out?

What makes this superyacht cost $3,000,000 to charter per week?

Let’s not kid ourselves, superyachts are pricey.

You’ve never heard ‘low budget’ and ‘superyacht’ in the same sentence, have you?

Whether they’re featured on hit shows like The White Lotus, or owned by Saudi billionaires or Steve Jobs, they’re a luxury item.

But even by those lofty standards, $3,000,000 for a week’s charter might sound like a high figure.

So what makes the M/Y Kismet so special?

Delivered by German shipyard Lürssen and featuring a interior put together by British designer, Reymond Langton Design, this yacht can accommodate 12 guests across eight cabins.

It was built in 2024 and offers a ton of amazing amenities.

You have features that aren’t uncommon on superyachts like a gym, a spa, and a beach club.

But there’s also a dancefloor, a beauty salon, and an elevator.

The Kismet is manned by a roster of 36 workers, who share three staff cabins.

And that’s not all…

As if having a ton of luxuries onboard the Kismet wasn’t enough, this yacht also comes with a selection of water toys.

Included in this are submarines.

Yes, you can take out a submarine out for some underwater exploration.

The Kismet also comes with jet skis and SEABOBs.

For those not acquainted, SEABOBs are essentially over-water and under-water scooters that allow you to whiz along in the water.

Imagine clinging onto the back of a boat and you’ll get the idea.

So, with all of these amenities in mind, the $3,000,000 a week cost to sail the Kismet starts to make sense, right?

Admittedly, for the rich and famous, $3 million a week isn’t anything to bat at an eye at.

And who knows – there could be an even pricier charter price just around the corner.

The REV Ocean is about to become the world’s biggest superyacht and that’s not even due to set sail until 2027.
