Lamborghini made a brand-new version of the Vision GT which will leave you yearning for more

Lamborghini has made a brand new version of the Vision GT hypercar, which will simply take your breath away.

It has been five and a half years since the first Vision Gran Turismo was revealed, being used in the Gran Turismo PlayStation game.

This new version was recently revealed at the Car Design Event in Munich, Germany, and is an impressive evolution of the original concept car.

Lamborghini hasn’t just changed the bodywork, but it’s all given the new concept its own livery, which is a big upgrade over the original one.

The biggest change with the new Vision Gran Turismo is the color Lamborghini has given it.

The original car was in a military matte green, while the car on show in Germany had a striking Arancia Egon orange.

This is a color that Lamborghini first debuted on the Urus SE in 2024.

Inside the concept, it has retained the same central driving position as the original, similar to the McLaren F1.

There is also a typically crazy Lamborghini steering wheel, which also has a small central display.

A wacky heads-up display is also visible, stretching right across the car’s windshield.

Exterior-wise, there were some subtle refinements to the design.

The wheels sport a revised design, as do the front lip spoiler and the aero winglets.

Fundamentally, Lamborghini has kept this new version as close to the original as possible.

Unlike many concept cars, however, Lamborghini gave the Vision GT its own engine.

Under the hood is the same 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine Lamborghini used in the Sian FKP 37 hypercar.

In the concept, the engine, plus its mild-hybrid system, produces 808hp.

That is highly likely to be enough for anyone to live with on a daily basis.

The original 2019 concept, meanwhile, had a massive V12 engine.

With only a couple of examples in existence, the Vision GT will never be road-legal.

This is similar to what McLaren initially did with the Solus GT, another Gran Turismo concept.

However, McLaren would later fly in the face of convention and produce a toned-down, road-legal version of the Solus GT.

If demand rises, perhaps Lamborghini will at least consider doing a street-legal example of the Vision GT concept.
