Cadillac has always been known for its luxury and ahead-of-its-time engineering.

Ever since its first car in 1902 to rival Henry Ford, the American brand has been an automotive pioneer.

But its latest futuristic model is finally ready to see the light of day, and Jay Leno has already been behind the wheel.

Jay Leno previews ‘super low volume’ Cadillac Celestiq

Jay Leno is quite the car enthusiast. The celebrity show host and American TV legend has a whopping 280+ cars in his ever-growing collection, showcased on his popular YouTube channel.

But he also previews a range of brand-new cars, such as the upcoming Tesla Model Y 2026.

This time, though, Leno was jumping in the driver’s seat of the Cadillac Celestiq – a 650hp all-electric luxury sedan with a 55-inch interactive dash and over 300 miles of range.

Jay Leno’s Garage

In a recent upload, Leno was joined by Cadillac’s Chief Engineer Tony Roma and the Celestiq EV, which, in this case, was hand-crafted with a ‘Cacti’ exterior and a cream interior.

Each individual Celestiq will be made from scratch and to measure for individual buyers, where the possibilities are endless – customers have already requested interior modifications such as a wooden dash and features, as opposed to leather.

But the car seriously impressed Leno. Despite its size, he felt its 650hp wasn’t far behind Lucid Air’s 1200hp in the way it sets off with raw power.

But its driving style is much more than a showy gimmick concept car.

“[It’s] comfortable when you want it, corner-carving when you need it. You’re not piloting an iPad on wheels. You’re cruising in an electric super sedan that can go over 300 miles on a charge,” Leno said.

The Supercar Blondie team has also been hands-on with the Cadillac Celestiq, showing off a wide range of its hidden secrets.

The Cadillac Celestiq won’t be a car that you’ll see on the roads, though – not unless you’re very lucky.

Tony Roma revealed that with such care in each individual unit, Cadillac will be keeping the Celestiq very limited to only a few hundred customers.

“This is super-low volume,” Roma told Leno.

“We’re not announcing how many we’re going to make, but think more hundreds, not thousands. We’ll never make more than 250 – that’ll be our best – in a year.”

However, this car won’t be staying in Leno’s garage. That is, unless he orders a new one to join his McLaren W1, P1, and F1.
