Influencers have been flexing a Ferrari 360 around Beverly Hills, but awkwardly, it turned out to be a fake.

The bright yellow Italian ‘supercar’ was tearing through the streets of LA, and was even being used in photoshoots.

But when a YouTuber saw the car, he questioned the driver in the street.

What’s more, it was a pretty easy catch for someone who knows their cars.

Fake Ferrari 360 spotted driving in Beverly Hills

YouTuber effspot showed this strange and fake Ferrari 360 in a video from four years ago, where it was casually driving around Beverly Hills.

Effspot was also out and about shooting content when the spotted the strange supercar and instantly caught on.

It was a Toyota MR2 Turbo disguised as a Ferrari — and it was also far from looking like a replica.

You see, when it comes to replicas, you can’t really tell it’s a fake until you look closely.

This Lamborghini Murcielago replica that looks and (almost) drives like the real thing proves that fact.

The 360, however, was an easy catch.

Although this situation wasn’t as apparent as this $2,000 Ferrari, most enthusiasts could spot it pretty quickly.

Confronting the driver

To make things fun, the YouTuber confronted its owner at a traffic stop and complimented the owner about how great this car was.

Their friend also asked specific questions about its specifications, to which its owner replied ‘Yes.’

“Is it a six-speed?” Yes. “Gated?” Yeah.

It was a pretty hilarious interaction.

They later found the car parked near an eating joint, where they noticed the fake Ferrari had mismatched details — the emblems and the interior in particular.

It certainly wouldn’t be pleasing to be caught in a situation like this, so either make sure your replicas look exactly like the real thing or simply own it.

As far as Ferrari as a brand is concerned, it really hates the Toyota MR2.

That’s because the MR2 makes for an excellent donor car to create a Ferrari replica thanks to its flexibility and cost.

The automaker even wants the car banned.
