A group of Indian students from the Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) have built a humanoid robot named Anushka, using mostly junkyard parts.

What makes this creation stand out is that she is equipped with a beating heart, adding a truly human-like touch.

Usually, the budget for making humanoids is sizable however these students developed her with a budget of just Rs 2 lakh (about $2,400).

Creating something so advanced on such a low budget is truly remarkable.

The creators even made a YouTube channel to show off everything she can do.

Initially, Anushka was designed as a receptionist to solve queries, thanks to powerful AI integrated allowing her to help in 61 different languages.

However, soon they realized that Anushka was far more capable than that.

Now, they are working toward expanding her role in healthcare and consulting services.

It’s comparable to how the Apple Vision Pro was used in surgery.

China also launched the world’s first AI hospital with robot doctors ‘able to treat 3,000 patients daily’.

A lifelike face and beating heart

As well as a human-like beating heart, the robot’s face is inspired by a French princess, but with a touch of Indian tradition, as she wears a saree and is adorned with heavy Indian-style jewelry.

Her face is crafted with 3D-printed parts and flexible silicone skin by Madame Tussaud.

From facial expressions to recognizing people, there’s so much more she can do.

In fact, she can even notify her creators about a low battery or issues.

The future looks increasingly robotic.

In Japan, a giant robot was installed to manage a railway line, while an Optimus robot was hilariously seen folding clothes.
