2026 Porsche 911 Turbo spotted in the wild
Since the 992.2 generation came in 2024, Porsche has updated almost every model in its sportscar range.
The Carrera, GTS, Targa and GT3 have all seen recent, modern upgrades from Stuttgart.
And now the newest Porsche 911 Turbo is going to join its supercar siblings in receiving some upgrades.
But the headline news with the new 911 Turbo is that it will be updated as a hybrid.
Porsche celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo last year in 2024.
And the 2026 year model is going to mark a big shift in the identity of one of the brand’s most iconic nameplates.
So, what upgrades can fans expect to see on the new, 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo?
New iteration of legendary car comes with big changes
Reports suggest that this new hybrid 911 Turbo will use an hybrid powertrain.
In fact, it is reported to be a more powerful version of the new 911 GTS’s hybrid system.
And this new setup is expected to give the Porsche 911 Turbo more than 700bhp.
Porsche’s 911 GTS, from whom it is expected to share the hybrid powertrain, currently comes with a 3.6-litre engine.
It is this engine that is expected to be fitted under the hood of the new 911 Turbo.
It is also likely that both the Turbo and Turbo S will use the same single-turbocharger setup currently found in the GTS.
Based on the images, this newest Porsche 911 Turbo also comes with vertically-mounted active aero flaps in its front grille.
These can open and close to adapt to different downforce and cooling requirements.
It is also not expected to feature a standalone EV mode, unlike some of its rivals.
