After sticking with the same look since 1981, the company has finally decided to freshen things up.

The new logo is more straightforward and cleaner, and the company says it represents ‘two outstretched hands.’

It’s a big move for the brand, and the updated design will first appear on Honda’s upcoming 0 Series electric cars in 2026.

The new H logo is much thinner and does away with the trapezoid border that surrounded the old one.

Interestingly, it looks a lot like the brand’s first-ever logo from 1963.

The company revealed the new badge at CES 2024, where it appeared with two concept vehicles, the Saloon sedan and the Space-Hub van.

Talking about the new logo at the event, the company said: “This design expression, like two outstretched hands, represents Honda’s commitment to augment the possibilities of mobility and sincerely serve the needs of the users of Honda EVs.”

Car brands have recently started updating their logos. Earlier, we saw Jaguar introduce a new logo for its electric lineup.

While the new badge will be seen first on the 0 Series lineup, there’s a chance it might make its way to other models too.

The Prologue EV SUV, for example, could get the updated logo in a future update.

“In launching the next-generation EVs, Honda designed a new H mark to express the company’s determination to undergo a historic transformation,” the brand explained.

Despite the change, Honda has kept some familiar elements, similar to the subtle changes brought by Lamborghini in their updated logo.

For instance, the new logo still has the curved corners, just in a sleeker form.

With the 0 Series set to hit the market in 2026, it won’t be long before we see this fresh look on the road.
