An enthusiast has taken his rather mundane 1990s Honda Civic and turned it into something it could never dream to be – a Mercedes-Benz supercar.

The Civic is located in Indonesia, but thanks to the modifications, it’s almost unrecognizable as the Honda hatchback.

The changes to the 1996 Honda are substantial. The front end looks 100 percent Mercedes, and it even includes a rear spoiler.

Genuine Mercedes parts have also been used in the build to make it a little bit more believable.

At the front, the new headlights appear to come from a first-generation Mercedes M-Class W163 SUV.

The owner of the Civic has even crafted a custom grille, which looks loosely based on the McLaren-Mercedes SLR supercar.

The intakes and vents on the bumper and hood look to have come from Mercedes-AMG vehicles, enhancing the ‘sporty’ look of this Honda-Benz.

The owner has even gone to the trouble of modifying the roofline and the pillars of the Honda.

The new frameless doors also help to hide the car’s original identity.

It’s fair to say the overall proportions of the Honda are interesting, to say the least.

The dedication to the cause is impressive, as the owner has even reworked the rear of the Honda.

Now unrecognizable, the Civic sports new taillights and a rear wing, with the latter unlikely to add too much extra downforce.

Quad tailpipes and a new diffuser complete the ‘sporty’ look.

The changes don’t stop on the outside, however, with the interior now boasting a Mercedes emblem on the steering wheel.

There is even a new infotainment system, something the Honda wouldn’t have had at all in 1996.

The system is controlled via a somewhat oversized screen, and there is a whole host of other upgrades, such as a new audio system.

If you, for some reason, want to own this car, then good news because it’s currently listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace, priced at roughly $4,500.
